WOW. This looks awesome. Now I will be honest, I haven’t seen the first one, nor do I know much about the story; but the visual design of the film looks great. As we all know, a film can’t only ride on the visual design to be successful. It must have an (at least) workable story line that’s dynamic enough to hold the audience’s attention (*cough* Avatar), but Let’s see what they’ve got when it comes out.

Synopsis:
“[Rec] 2″ picks up 15 minutes after the first film, taking us back into the quarantined apartment building where a terrifying virus has run rampant, turning the occupants into mindlessly violent, raging beasts.

A heavily armed SWAT team and a mysterious government official are sent in to assess and attempt to neutralize the situation. What they find inside lies beyond the scope of medical science — a demonic nightmare of biblical proportions more terrifying than they could have possibly imagined. Above all it must be contained, before it escapes to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting world outside.

Producer: MAGNET
Release: July 9th

“Hollywood Squeeze More Out Of Canon’s 5D MkII” Good article

I’m a big fan of the Canon DSLR lineup for film making– specifically the 1D and 5D. The quality of images that you get out of these things are amazing compared to the price. Most of you are familiar with these cameras, so I’ll get straight to the point.

HD Magazine has a great article about the news of using the Canon DSLRs on high budget films/television shows.

Good read.
